Terms of service

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from Hillcraft Limited.

This website, hillcraft.ie, is owned and operated by Hillcraft Limited, an Irish-registered company.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms together with the information provided on the relevant product page and our applicable Privacy, Returns & Refunds and Shipping & Delivery policies.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights available to consumers under Irish law.

Products

Hillcraft designs and produces personalised, made-to-order and small-batch products including trophies, photo products, lamps, signage and other crafted goods.

Product photographs and descriptions are intended to represent the products as accurately as reasonably possible.

Because many Hillcraft products are individually produced and hand-finished, minor variations in wood grain, surface finish, engraving, colour and other handmade characteristics may occur.

Such natural variations do not mean that a product is faulty.

Personalised Products

Customers are responsible for checking all text, names, dates, photographs, logos, selections and other personalisation information submitted with an order.

Hillcraft will normally reproduce customer-supplied wording as provided.

If Hillcraft makes an error when reproducing correctly supplied personalisation information, we will put it right in accordance with your consumer rights.

Hillcraft cannot normally provide a refund or replacement where the finished product correctly reflects incorrect wording, spelling, dates, photographs or other information supplied by the customer.

Customer-Supplied Images, Logos & Other Material

By supplying photographs, logos, artwork, text or other material for use in an order, you confirm that you have the necessary right or permission to provide that material and to request its use in the product.

You remain responsible for the material you supply.

You grant Hillcraft permission to use the supplied material as reasonably necessary to design, manufacture and fulfil your order.

Hillcraft does not acquire ownership of your original photographs, artwork or other customer-supplied material simply because it has been uploaded for an order.

Hillcraft may refuse material or an order where fulfilling the request would reasonably appear unlawful, infringing, abusive or otherwise inappropriate.

Personal information and uploaded files are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Bespoke Custom Trophies

Hillcraft Bespoke Custom Trophies are a creative custom service.

The customer supplies a description of the desired subject together with any useful reference material, and Hillcraft creates an individual three-dimensional interpretation of that brief.

The service is not an exact replica or precision reproduction service.

The finished trophy may differ from reference material in proportions, pose, styling, fine detail and other characteristics. Complex elements such as faces, machinery, vehicles, clothing, equipment or intricate objects may be simplified or stylised as part of creating a practical finished trophy.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise before purchase:

  • no design proof or preview is supplied;

  • no customer approval stage is included;

  • no revision round is included; and

  • the finished physical trophy is the final interpretation of the submitted brief.

By ordering a Bespoke Custom Trophy, you acknowledge and accept this creative interpretation process.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged or materially fails to conform to the product or service that was actually offered.

The purchase of a custom trophy includes the finished physical product only. Digital models, design files, production files or other working files are not supplied unless separately agreed.

Order Acceptance

When you place an order, you are responsible for ensuring that the information supplied is complete and accurate.

Hillcraft may contact you where additional information is reasonably required to fulfil an order.

In exceptional circumstances, Hillcraft may be unable to accept or fulfil an order, for example where necessary materials are unavailable, a request cannot reasonably be manufactured, an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred, or the requested content cannot lawfully be reproduced.

If Hillcraft cannot fulfil a paid order, the affected amount will be refunded.

Prices

Prices displayed on Hillcraft.ie are shown in euro unless otherwise stated.

Delivery charges and any other applicable charges are displayed before an order is completed.

Hillcraft may change prices at any time, but a price change will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted.

If an obvious pricing error has occurred, Hillcraft may contact the customer before production and either offer the product at the correct price or cancel and refund the order.

Payment

Payment is made using the payment methods offered at checkout.

Orders will not normally enter production until the required payment has been successfully received or authorised.

Hillcraft does not directly receive or store full payment-card details where payment is processed by an external payment provider.

Production & Delivery

Many Hillcraft products are made to order.

Estimated production times are stated on product pages where applicable. Production time is separate from carrier delivery time.

Available delivery methods, charges and restrictions are shown at checkout.

Further information is available in the Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Cancellations & Returns

Different cancellation rights apply depending on whether a product is personalised, made to the customer's specifications or is a standard non-personalised product.

Clearly personalised products and goods made to an individual customer's choice or specification do not normally carry the standard change-of-mind cancellation right applicable to ordinary distance purchases.

This does not remove your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

Full details are set out in the Returns & Refunds Policy.

Faulty or Incorrect Goods

Hillcraft will supply goods that conform to the contract and to the description under which they were sold.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not conform to your order, contact info@hillcraft.ie.

The remedies available to consumers are governed by applicable Irish consumer law and are not restricted by these Terms & Conditions.

Product Safety & Use

Products should be used only for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions or safety information supplied with them.

Customers should retain and follow any product-specific instructions included with an order.

Hillcraft is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification or use contrary to supplied safety instructions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Website Content

Unless otherwise stated, the Hillcraft name, website content, original product photographs, graphics, written material and Hillcraft-created designs are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.

Website content may not be reproduced commercially without permission.

This section does not claim ownership over photographs, logos or other original material supplied by customers.

Availability

As Hillcraft operates using small-batch and made-to-order production, materials, finishes or particular options may occasionally become unavailable.

Where an unavailable option affects an existing order, Hillcraft will contact the customer and offer an appropriate alternative or refund where necessary.

Events Outside Reasonable Control

Hillcraft is not responsible for delays caused by events genuinely outside its reasonable control, but this does not remove any rights or remedies that a consumer has under applicable law.

Where such an event causes a significant problem with an order, Hillcraft will communicate with the customer and take reasonable steps to resolve it.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under Irish consumer law.

Where these terms conflict with a mandatory consumer protection right, the statutory right takes precedence.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Consumers may also have mandatory rights arising under the law applicable to them which these terms do not remove.

Changes to These Terms

Hillcraft may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to an order will be the version in effect when that order is placed, except where a change is required by law.
